...PERSONALITY...Impatient, irritating, irrational, impulsive...irresistible. All of these are words that can be used to describe R'hia. He has a strong personality, one of the strongest. You either love this guy, or you hate him. He's the cocky bastard that you hate that you love or you love to hate, and any of this is fine by him. With an ego the size of a queen dragon, Rhia knows that he's Faranth's gift to women...and men. In the end, it doesn't quite matter to this man, because while he rides a bronze, he's quite liberal with his morals. He takes the free love philosophy to a new level. If it's human and old enough, then he's most likely interested. Because really, who would turn him down?
R'hia is one of your typical bad boys with a hard, crunchy exterior and a soft, chewy nougat center. If there was an example about one's past being able to shape the kind of person one will grow into, he would be it. He wasn't the most loved person as a child, and he found his way in the world mostly by sex. Intimate contact is a way for him to validate his existence, a way to prove that he has a reason to be alive. It had been this was since before he impressed, but impressing only toned down his pansexual behavior the slightest bit. At least now you'll see him leaning more strongly towards females, but he wouldn't turn down advances.
He knows just how to get under someone's skin and have them right where he wants them. He has a silver tongue and knows how to use it. First impressions don't tell someone a lot about this guy. At first, he's surprisingly pleasant to be around. Polite and casual, no one would be able to tell what hides beneath that charming exterior...and he is charming, undeniably so. The smoothest liar you know, he's able to twist and manipulate people to get his way, and most of the time he will get his way and leave you thinking that it was your idea the entire time. He just really knows how to work people.
As expected, he has a problem with authority figures, even as a child. Downright rebellious, he resents being told what to do, and he seriously resents the idea that anyone can be better at him at anything. This has led to him being seriously highly ambitious. The desire to be at the top and have absolutely no one to answer to has always driven his exploits. He isn't quite sure how he would be at being in charge of anything, in actuality, he'd probably be quite the terrible leader, but he hasn't really thought about the consequences of his actions that much. Your classic "leap before you think" type, he's rash and impulsive. If he thinks he has to prove himself in some way, nothing will stop him. Mostly because he's as stubborn as a mule.
He's also completely and utterly vain. He's an immaculate groomer, spending more time caring for his appearance than your average female. You will almost never see this bronzerider in anything messy. He's a sharp dresser and his hair is always perfect. After all, you can't be irresistible to anyone if you aren't perfect. One of his best traits, is that he's able to keep completely calm under crisis situations, calm and collected and level headed. This is R'hia to a tee. Another thing about this man, is that he believes no one is entitled to his respect. They have to earn it first. It doesn't matter to him what color of dragon they just
happen to impress...they have to earn his respect.
R'hia can be a lot of things. Curt, sarcastic, just plain rude, but beneath all that is something different. Under all that is a little boy craving love, and he'll take it anywhere he can find it. He really is a nice guy, if he would actually let you in...and I don't just mean into his pants. It takes a lot to crack his hard outer shell, but it isn't impossible. He isn't the kind of person who befriends easily. You might think you're his friend, but in actuality, you probably aren't. More than likely, you're a means to an end. He doesn't let people in easily...but when he does, he's incredibly loyal, almost to a fault. The inner R'hia is tender and caring, positively adoring and loving...but no one really gets to see that side of him, because he always keeps his guard up. You never know who could possibly get in and break something.

Ranthian was born to a couple in a small cothold outside of Fort Hold. He was an only child and didn't have an extremely special experience as a child. His parents were both extraordinarily hard workers and neither had time for the child that was more of a mistake than anything else. So, the boy was taught to work from very early on, and he did work. Just because his parents didn't have time for him didn't mean that his attention seeking ways would cease. In fact, the lack of attention from his parents caused him to seek that attention elsewhere. He found the validation that he got from intimate interactions with others. By the time he was eight, he had already started to notice girls seriously. By the time he was thirteen, he had had his first sexual encounter. And by fifteen, he had already had sex with several of the cothold's other children.
He was simply an inconvenience in his parents' life by this time, and by the time he was sixteen, he really wasn't interested in staying around anymore. So, he packed his things and he just left. He didn't know where he was going, but being the rash teenage he was, he just decided to start walking. He didn't know how he was going to get the things he needed in life, but he figured sooner or later, things would fall into place for him.
As luck would have it, the third day after he had left, a greenrider in a routine flyover found him. Ranthian had never thought about becoming a candidate. Sure, living so close to the weyr, he had helped his parents to supply tithes to the large weyr, but he had never had any use in the business of dragonmen. He just wasn't interested in it. But, what the rider was offering him was something that he had been searching for. Purpose. Above all else. So, he agreed and he arrived at Fort in time for the hatching. Of course, he didn't impress the first time he stood, or the second, or the third. It didn't matter. He was taking advantage of his time as a candidate. All the eager young girls and boys wanting to lose their virginity before the dragon they eventually impressed rose or chased for the first time? It was great. And for each time he was left standing, a new batch of candidates would come in. Of course he had to work, but he was good at working, so he did it without complaint.
He honestly never thought he would impress, not until Nevarath hatched and claimed the then nineteen year old candidate as his own. From then on, he had become R'hia and there was no looking back. He didn't do so well as a weyrling. The weyrlingmaster expected perfection out of him and resenting authority as he did, he and R'hia butted heads quite often. He was more than happy to finally graduate into a full rider, where he had his own weyr and could invite anyone over he wanted.
So, needless to say, the boy had a grand time as a dragonrider. Even thread didn't get him down. He was still young and impulsive and thought for sure that he would never die. When Lessa
betweened through time, he was one of the ones who was all for helping out. Why not? Going into the future had a rather pleasing sound to it. He just really wanted to see what the world was like four hundred turns in the future. So, when he got the order, he agreed happily, joining the other not so pleased riders.
...DRAGON NAME...Nevarath
...DRAGON COLOR...Bronze (

808000)
...DRAGON AGE...Ten Turns
...DRAGON INFORMATION...Appearance: Nevarath is a big bronze. Not the biggest out there, but stretching out to an impressive 43 feet, he is no tiny dragon. He isn't muscular in the traditional sense of the word, nor is her particularly sleek. Instead, he seems to sit in the middle. Thickened limbs that are graced with subtle hints of strength here and there. Maybe you'll see sinuous muscles beneath his hide when he moves just so in the light. He isn't obviously huge, but he is no wimp either. He has positively massive wings. They are overlong for his color, and he matches some of your average queens in wingspan. This makes him excellent at endurance and he has quite a bit of stamina, but his agility really leaves something to be desired. Of course, he's more agile than more muscled bronzes, but he can't hope to beat a small brown or blue in agility trials.
In coloration, at first, it would be hard to pinpoint this boy as a bronze. His base color is a very light burnished tan color, so light that it could be considered white under certain lights. However, the telltale shimmer to his hide that marks him as a metallic along with his size is hard to miss. As is the strip of gorgeous greenish bronze that runs along his head, back, tail and colors the membranes of his massive wings. He truly has an interesting coloration if nothing else, and it's really hard for him to hide in a crowd with the contrast of those two colors on his hide.
He has a very interesting flight style. He's nearly silent while in flight, which seems odd for a beast as large as he. Extremely focused on his next target, he can be likened to a bird of prey while in flight, with turns and shifts and rolls made without the slightest warning.
Personality: This boy doesn't match the traditional image of a bronze. While he is as large and shimmery as a bronze is supposed to be, he didn't quite get the memo on being an arrogant git. In fact, he's a rather laid back fellow, quite cheerful and amiable in the best of times. He believes on starting on the right foot with anyone, and just doesn't really understand why anyone would have anything against him. That being said, he doesn't dwell on others' opinion of him too much. If someone likes him, he's thrilled and is positively friendly around them. If someone doesn't like him, he's still friendly, but in a more detached sort of way. He doesn't really care, and while he isn't sensitive about the feelings, he won't spend too much time around someone who wouldn't welcome that company, unlike his rider.
When it comes to females, he isn't picky. Gold and green are all the same to him. As long as they're pretty, he's interested and is a pretty shameless flirt. He would fly in any flight, regardless of color and he exerts the same effort in a greenflight that he would in a goldflight. Maybe a little extra if weyrleadership is on the line, but this is mostly R'hia's influence on him. The man's preference does color the dragon's choice to a certain extent, since they are extremely close, and he tends to avoid flying greens that have male riders. At the same time, he will have undeniable favorites in the weyr, a few greens, your occasional gold, and in these flights, he will always chase. Always. If one of his favorites happens to have a male rider, then too bad for R'hia. He's along for the ride whether he likes it or not. While Nevarath loves his bonded to pieces, he knows that he has most of the say in the partnership, especially when it comes to flights. He lets R'hia handle most matters, but not matters of the heart. It's possible that Neva will settle down with one of his favorites, but due to the allure of goldflights, he will never be able to be completely monogamous.
As already said, Neva and R'hia are extremely close. Probably closer than most dragon pairs. There are no secrets between the two of them, and being blocked off from R'hia's mind for too long can cause the normally mellow bronze to flip out and try to seek him out desperately. To this length, Neva is fiercely protective of his rider, and will dispatch all threats to his life quickly and cleanly. Though he prefers not to resort to violence in most situations, he will not hesitate when it comes to his rider. He will constantly tease his rider, and do what he thinks is best for him...whether or not R'hia thinks this is best or not.
