...PERSONALITY...J’tair is a man of action, and being retired has not been a good transition for him. He’s having a difficult time accepting the fact that Izayenth will never fly again, and that his short career as a rider is now over. He’s slowly getting to the point where wearing his flight gear makes him uncomfortable, but he hasn’t packed or hidden any of it away because Izayenth insists it’s still important. He can’t understand why his dragon isn’t as frustrated by their current state as he is, but he doesn’t realize that they are both coping in their own way.
Because he hates having idle hands, and he’s had a lot of idle time since Izayenth’s injury, J’tair has been attempting to return to the craft he was a member of before his Impression. It has not been an easy process, and has produced more headaches than headway. He’s just stubborn and insistent enough that he hasn’t given up, and while being formally accepted back probably won’t happen anytime soon, that hasn’t stopped him from spending time out by the beast pens in between tending to his dragon.
2027: J’tair is born Javetair, the son of a herder and his beast healer wife.
2039: Decides to take on the family trade at 12 and Apprentices to the Beastcraft Hall at Keroon Hold.
2047: J’tair walks the tables at 20 and is posted to High Reaches Weyr shortly after.
2048: J’tair volunteers to stand as a Candidate; he Impresses green Izayenth at his first hatching.
2058: Lessa and Ramoth arrive at Fort Weyr. When Lessa finally succumbs to her delirium, it’s decided by the riders that they’ll make the jump forward. J’tair and Izayenth are among those that survive the trip. Upon arrival in the 9th Pass, the pair transfer to Fort Weyr.
2508: Izayenth is injured during Threadfall over Southern Boll. It’s not until the return to the Weyr that J’tair realizes something is wrong, and later that day it’s confirmed - her right wing is beyond repair.
2509: J’tair requests reinstatement to his craft, but he hits a wall almost immediately in the form of the Craftmaster who is resistant to allowing a dragonrider - even a retired one - into their ranks.

...DRAGON INFORMATION...Izayenth is not a large green by any means at just 20 feet. In fact, she could even be described as petite for a dragon, with a dainty, almost graceful appearance. She’s a medium forest color with splashes and spots of lighter green all along her tail. Her right wing is lined with still healing wounds and lighter streaks of already healed scar tissue. She keeps it curled up close to her side, rather than let it hang, which is about the only movement she’s able to get out of it anymore.
