A drought has lasted for more than a Turn in the Fortian region. Although cold, the weather remains dry, with very little snowfall. The water-level in the lake is low, and the lower caverns are now rationing non-essential water (for bathing, laundry, et cetera).

    Att Fort Weyr: Leadership Flight

    On Day 14 of the 13 Month in the Turn 2508, the question about which gold would rule over Fort Weyr was answered.  Early in the morning, Ianth took to the sky and called the bronzes of the weyr to try their luck?  How will it end?  That is still up for debated.

    So the question becomes, who wants to be Weyrleader. Please PM me with your interested, and if you have any plots in mind for when your bronzer wins.

    Note: Wanting the leadership or not.  Feel free to post your bronze.  NPC bronzers are also welcome.

    Also note that this means we'll be having a Hatching as a result of this Flight.  However, because Autumn is the longest of the seasons, the Flight takes place in IC month 13 (which means a Clutching in IC month 3, give or take, and the Hatching in IC month 4-5), the Hatching likely won't be until late May or early June.

    That said, people are welcome to create Candidate characters at any time, since we'd ICly begin Searching with an understanding that a Flight = eggs = Candidates.

    Congratulations (or condolences, depending on how you spin it) go to V'turo and bronze Kavath (played by Tegz)!

    Thanks are due to Melissa (Sorilea) for holding the Flight, and to Duz (NPCing V'tai), Isra (C'sius), Bo (H'dral), and Tegz (V'turo) for participating!

    There will be IC repercussions in the near future, now that Fort Weyr essentially has the least qualified bronzerider at its helm!  Keep an eye open for plot posts regarding the finalized Weyrleadership, whee~!

    (For the curious, the IC winner was not pre-determined.  Staff debated the merits of the bronzeriders and - at the end - Melissa decided to flip a coin for the final selection.)
